Ethiopian Sidamo Nura Korate Coffee
A bold mocha character balanced with spice and lemon.
Nura Korate is a part of the Sidamo Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. Year after year, this particularly remote and isolated coop, which carefully grows heirloom varieties of coffe (coffee) arabica, delivers the lemony taste we seek. Our medium ‘city’ roast highlights the lemon and also brings forth notes of spice and mocha for a powerful and balanced brew. Make it strong!

When I first began teaching myself specialty coffee back in the late 1980’s, one of the more memorable and distinct flavor notes I tasted was lemon. Roasting on a small popcorn popper roaster and preparing coffee camp style (most similar to formal cupping), I can still remember the distinct note of lemon coming through in Ethiopian Sidamo’s. So while great Ethiopian coffee runs the gamut of taste profiles, it is lemon we seek.
