Limited Edition: Decaf Ethiopia Suke Quto

Limited Edition: Decaf Ethiopia Suke Quto

We’re proud to introduce a special, limited-edition release: Decaf Ethiopia Suke Quto, a beautifully balanced organic coffee, decaffeinated and sourced with care.

ethiopia

This delicious organic coffee is sourced from Suke Quto Farm in the lush highlands and valleys of Ethiopia’s Guji zone. In late 2025, Jim visited the farm firsthand, walking among diverse native shade trees, vibrant ripe cherries, and the thick layer of leaf litter that naturally fertilizes the coffee trees. The region’s rich, volcanic soil, loamy and nutrient-dense, plays a key role in producing such distinctive Ethiopian coffee.

During his visit, Jim spent time with Tesfaye Bekele, founder of Suke Quto and a pioneer of Guji coffee. Tesfaye’s dedication to organic farming and regenerative agriculture is evident in every detail. He supports over 100 local outgrowers and more than 200 seasonal workers, and many farms in the region now follow the sustainable model he helped establish.

As with all of our decaffeinated coffees, this offering is processed using the Swiss Water Process, a meticulous, 100% chemical-free method that removes caffeine using only water, temperature, and time. This process preserves the integrity of the coffee while maintaining organic certification, aligning with our commitment to clean sourcing and environmental responsibility. (You can read more about the Swiss Water Process here in our blog post.)
